We have three full time commissioning professionals on staff.

The Commissioning Process is a quality-oriented process for achieving, verifying and documenting that the performance of facilities, systems and assemblies meets defined objectives and criteria. The Commissioning Process begins at project inception (during the pre-design phase) and continues for the life of the facility through the occupancy and operation phase.

Commissioning Objectives

  • Clearly document Owner’s Project Requirements
  • Provide documentation and tools to improve the quality of deliverables
  • Verify and document that systems and assemblies perform according to the Owner’s Project Requirements
  • Verify that operation and maintenance personnel and occupants are properly trained
  • Provide a uniform and effective process for delivery of construction projects
  • Deliver buildings and construction projects that meet the Owner’s needs at the time of completion
  • Implement statistical quality-verification practices, with the use of statistical quality control

Safety / Environmental Programs

At Hill & Wilkinson, our Safety and Environmental programs are success drivers on every project. We believe policies, procedures and training programs should be clear, simple and applied consistently. Hill & Wilkinson employees embrace these programs not only because they are required, but also because they realize their importance in our professional work as well as our personal lives.

Our Safety and Environmental results are valued by our clients. Our efforts lead to high morale, a solid corporate image and greater protection of people, property and the environment.

Hill & Wilkinson has implemented a company-wide safety initiative to better communicate, track and improve overall company safety performance. An internet based safety system is used to conduct, track and communicate safety inspection reports and findings. It enables instant communication of inspection findings to subcontractors and project management. We use it on all of our projects.

Self-Perform Capabilities

Hill & Wilkinson employs more than 180 skilled craftspeople representing virtually every trade and discipline relevant to general construction and specialty services. As a self-performing builder, we offer our clients numerous benefits, including a single point of accountability and greater control of schedules, costs and quality. Depending on the project, our men and women perform a variety of work in the following trades and tasks:

General Labor
Rough Carpentry
Door/Hardware Installation
Field Engineering
Quality Control

Warranty Service Management

To build and maintain long-term relationships, Hill & Wilkinson maintains a staff of full-time Warranty Service Managers. This offers you the assurance that we’ll take responsibility for the work we perform, as stipulated in our contract.

One year after the completion of every project, a manager conducts a walk-through with the building owner to identify and correct any issue of concern. If new ones arise, a manager will respond quickly, often the same day, in a fully equipped van to make covered repairs on the spot.
